Journal Policy for the Journal of Humanistic Studies and Social Dynamics (JHSSD)

  1. Aim and Scope

The Journal of Humanistic Studies and Social Dynamics (JHSSD) aims to publish high-quality research articles, reviews, and case studies in the fields of humanities and social sciences. The journal focuses on interdisciplinary research that examines the complex interactions between society, culture, history, economics, and human behavior.

  1. Article Types

JHSSD accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Original Research Articles: Full-length research papers offering new insights or findings in relevant fields.

Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of specific topics within the journal’s scope.

Case Studies: Detailed accounts of specific cases that provide practical insights or raise important questions for discussion.

  1. Peer-Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process, ensuring the anonymity of both the authors and reviewers. The process is as follows:

Initial editorial review to assess manuscript suitability.

If deemed suitable, the manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers.

Based on reviewer feedback, the editor will make one of the following decisions: accept, accept with minor revisions, accept with major revisions, or reject.

Authors are given a specific timeline to revise and resubmit manuscripts, if necessary.

  1. Open Access Policy

JHSSD is an open-access journal, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to readers without a subscription. Authors may be required to pay a publication fee to cover the cost of open-access publishing. However, the journal may waive fees for authors from low-income countries or in special cases.

  1. Copyright and Licensing

Upon acceptance, authors are required to transfer copyright to Notation Publishing. Articles published in JHSSD are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing for the distribution and reuse of the content, provided proper credit is given to the authors.

  1. Ethical Standards and Publication Malpractice

JHSSD is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. We adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to comply with these ethical standards:

Authors: Must ensure that their work is original, does not contain plagiarism, and has not been submitted elsewhere.

Reviewers: Are expected to provide constructive, unbiased, and timely feedback.

Editors: Must make impartial decisions and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the review process.

  1. Plagiarism Policy

JHSSD has a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts found to contain significant similarity to previously published work will be rejected. (Refer to the detailed Plagiarism Policy provided separately.)

  1. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the research. Reviewers and editors are also required to declare any conflicts of interest that may affect their impartiality.

  1. Data Availability and Reproducibility

JHSSD encourages authors to make their research data available in public repositories to promote transparency and reproducibility. Authors should include a data availability statement in their manuscripts indicating where the data can be accessed.

  1. Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before it is accepted for publication. After publication, articles may be retracted if ethical misconduct, plagiarism, or significant errors are discovered. A notice of retraction will be issued, and the article will remain accessible with a retraction statement.
